"The Musical That Shook The World"
Digne, France, 1815. Our Hero, convict 24601, Jean Valjean has been released on parole after 19 years on a chain gang. After a touching encounter with the Bishop, despite his embitterment, he decides to lead a new life.
1823 sees him in Montreuil-Sur-Mer, having broken his parole, changed his name to Monsieur Madeleine and risen to the ranks of both Mayor and factory owner.
The story unfolds revealing a tapestry of coincidences, misfortune, injustice and a selfless determination to bring about a better future.

The Scenery
|
|
We built the scenery from scratch, including the barricade which was pushed on to stage by hidden crew and then extended to a width of 32' wide by 12' high.
This barricade was sold to Prosceneium Scenery Hire (www.prosceneium.co.uk). |
