About Us
The Concordia Youth Theatre has made its name over the years by nurturing and inspiring young, local talent to develop skills in all aspects of theatre craft, from exceptional performers to highly competent stage technicians.
Established in 1977, Concordia Youth Theatre was devised as a forum for performers to develop the skills and confidence at a young age to take them on to the adult societies within the Concordia Theatre. Over the years, as CYT has blossomed, our members have gone on to perform at the highest levels all around the world, both on stage and behind the scenes.
From the ages of 12 to 21 our members participate in weekly workshops that cover various aspects of stage craft, from learning different dialects to improvisation situations and projection, before going on to audition, rehearse, and perform in our annual production in June.
